MARTINIQUE ... THERE IS SO MUCH TO SAY, there isn't room for a photo! In late April Carlson Hotels announced the addition of the Radisson Hotel & Spa Martinique. The 175-room beachfront hotel is located in Schoelcher, and the renovation is expected to take one year and cost $10M. In early May, American Eagle announced adding another flight from San Juan to Martinique, making it significantly easier to get there.  Flights start in July and go through to the end of 2011, with a short suspension at the end of this summer. This month, travel suppliers from Martinique, including hotels and ground operators and distributors from the U.S. joined forces and had discussions regarding how to continue this forward momentum.  Look here for more exciting announcements in the months to come.
